Asian Women Giving Circle (New York)

The Asian Women Giving Circle is a growing group of women pooling and raising resources and skills to invest in projects in New York City led by Asian women. Our current grantmaking focus is Arts and Activism because we believe cultural change can lead to political change. Asian Americans are NYC's fastest-growing minority, yet one out of every two Asian Pacific American children are born into poverty. Few philanthropic dollars go to Asian American communities and even fewer are earmarked for women and girls. The Asian Women Giving Circle is changing the tide. Since 2006, we have raised and given away over $400,000 in grants to support projects in NYC led by Asian American women who are using Arts to accomplish their Activism. We are a donor advised fund of the Ms. Foundation for Women.
