From Yuri Kochiyama cradling Malcolm X at the Audubon Ballroom, to Buffalo Soldiers joining the Filipino resistance, to Black and Asian students at SF State demanding the first College of Ethnic Studies.
Our shared history is one of courage, collaboration, and resistance. Join Asian American Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP) and Koro Rules The Sun (KRTS) for an evening of remembrance, storytelling, and connection. This gathering uplifts the deep legacy of Black and Asian solidarity and reminds us of what’s possible when we move together toward collective liberation.
Please come with your appetite, good energy, and stories of solidarity to share!
This event is invitation only. If you’d like to connect with the Seattle Chapter and get more involved, please email seattlechapter@aapip.org.
