Join AAPIP Los Angeles as we dive into sharpening our funder skills of understanding the full cost of mission delivery for a nonprofit. This professional development session is meant for foundation staff looking to deepen their understanding of nonprofit full cost. How do we move beyond yearly expenses and into the other costs nonprofits must cover in order to meet the needs of their communities? There is sector-wide agreement that overhead costs are necessary for nonprofits to deliver quality programs, but only 7% of nonprofits report that their foundation funders always cover the full cost of delivering programs (Nonprofit Finance Fund State of the Nonprofit Sector 2015 Survey). In this highly interactive session designed for strengthening the skillset of foundation staff, Nonprofit Finance Fund will lead participants to:
Deepen their understanding of the full cost for nonprofits to achieve their missions
Broaden their skills in communicating about the cost of achieving mission with grantees and other nonprofit organizations
Grow their network of peers to discuss and share challenges, lessons learned and best practices
