Job Description: 

Indivisible Project is hiring a Foundations Manager. This position will report to the Senior Development Manager and work closely with that position and the Development Director to steward foundation fundraising at Indivisible, meeting an ambitious multi-million dollar target in 2019 by cultivating institutional donors and family foundations.

The dynamic Indivisible Development team is overseeing a multi-channel fundraising program that has grown tremendously in its first two years. We are excited to add new team members who can help us build on this success. We are hiring for the Foundations Manager position immediately, ideally in our Washington, DC office but remote work possible if in the Bay Area. The Foundations Manager position is full-time, with a salary of $55,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Steward and grow a portfolio of five figure grants from new and existing institutional donors, including private and family foundations
Lead on grants management, including working closely with Finance staff to ensure compliance
Write targeted proposals, narrative reports, and timely updates tailored to donors’ interests, requirements, and type of support
Expand our network of potential foundation donors, effectively identifying and researching prospects and facilitating introductions
Assist with knowledge management, developing processes and systems to record key information of both past and future outreach. Knowledge of Salesforce preferred
Collaborate effectively across departments within the organization
Manage Foundations Associate


Required Qualifications
Three to five years of experience in development/fundraising, including at least two years in foundation fundraising
Superior writing skills, with ability to quickly and professionally prepare development materials, including experience writing successful grant proposals
Demonstrated experience managing numerous grants at one time, with familiarity and understanding of public and family foundation grant requirements
Budgeting skills and familiarity with financial grants management
Excellent research, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience with donor databases and reporting (Salesforce preferred)
Alignment on the core values and strategy of the Indivisible Project
