Priorities USA
Company Information:

Priorities USA is a voter-centric progressive advocacy organization and service center for the grassroots progressive movement. Priorities is committed to standing up to the Trump administration and its allies in order to build an economy that provides real opportunity for all families to get ahead, and to protect the fundamental, democratic ideal of equality for all Americans – regardless of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

Job Description:

Priorities USA is looking to hire a Senior Associate, Ad Ops and Reporting to join our in-house paid media team, to help implement all of the processes and tools that enable us to run strong ad campaigns, focused -- but not exclusively -- on the 2020 presidential election.

In 2018, we ran the largest digital advertising campaign on the Democratic side, and helped other organizations invest more and invest smarter in digital persuasion and mobilization. In 2019, we ran millions of dollars in mobilization ads in dozens of state and local races to promote the habit of voting. This coming year, we are doubling down on our commitment to digital media by building out our in-house team. We’re already holding Trump accountable for policies that hurt everyday Americans and we need the help of a talented and diverse team to do it.

Qualifications:

The right person for this role should:

Have 3-5 years of technical experience in trafficking, buying, and building reports for digital media. Experience in the following tools and platforms: AdWords, Google Marketing Platform (Google Search, Google Campaign Manager, Google Display Video 360) and Facebook Business Manager, and other ad tech products. If you do not know any or all tools, be willing to learn!

Preferably have some management experience (or be ready to step into your first management role).

Be able to identify appropriate measurements of success and communicate data clearly to other team members, including staying organized and understanding the incoming requests for future media buys.

Be willing to try new things, learn from successes and mistakes, and adapt to new and changing information. You will be successful in this role if you thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Care about the work of electing Democrats up and down the ticket. We want to be upfront: you'll need to be deeply invested in both the outcome (hello, getting Trump out of office!), and how we get there: working with a dynamic and diverse team, elevating marginalized voices, speaking to communities that are sometimes left behind by Democratic paid media programs.

Love a good spreadsheet. We need to keep track of many moving pieces at once. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills and an eye for detail -- that means you, Excel wizards, to-do list makers and color coders. Experience with data visualization is a plus.

In this role you will:

Work with the Senior Manager, Ad Ops and Reporting and the rest of the Ad Ops / Reporting team to traffic ad buys, manage campaigns, and report out on how they’re doing. This includes producing trafficking sheets, weekly reporting, spend/pacing projections, and other media buying deliverables, as well as thorough quality control checks to verify targeting, tags, pixels, and line items are set up correctly. Overall, we work as a team, including relying on and assisting others for media strategy, implementation, quality control, and reporting insights.

Manage 1-2 junior team members. You will assist in the workflow and career development of junior team members. You will balance your own individual workload, as well as guide projects and tasks that have been delegated to someone else. The right candidate communicates well and clearly to others to set expectations and meet deadlines.

Get the right data to the right people at the right times. You’ll work within, and help to continuously improve upon. a reporting infrastructure that surfaces actionable, relevant metrics. The ideal candidate can understand and report on the complexities of multiple ad platforms, campaigns and metrics at once -- and can adapt reporting to fit the needs of various stakeholders.

Experiment! Many of our campaigns are designed to measure the efficacy of different media strategies, targeting techniques, or message/creative executions. You’ll work with the strategy and analytics team to structure and confirm that everything is set up properly, and report out on the required data.

Help us do things by the book. You’ll work with internal processes for reporting buys that adhere strictly to legal and compliance standards. Experience with digital media billing would be a bonus but not required.

Reports to: Senior Manager, Ad Ops and Reporting
Direct reports: 1-2 reports

Salary: A competitive salary around $80,000 - $90,000 but ultimately based on experience, and a benefits package that includes health care, paid holidays and vacation. People of color, women, people with disabilities, and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
