John Duong is the Director of Stategic Social Investments at the Lumina Foundation.
Prior to the Lumina Foundation John led the Mission Driven Investing (MDI) team at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, working with the foundation’s Finance Committee, Board of Trustees and MDI Investment Committee to provide overall portfolio management.
John holds a BA in Economics and East Asian Studies from Yale University, studied abroad at the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a National Security Education Program Fellow and holds an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He was a survivor of the Khmer Rouge concentration camp in Cambodia with his family before immigrating to Wisconsin. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering, jogging, kayaking, traveling and investing.
