Kyung Yoon is the Co-founder and Executive Director of the Korean American Community Foundation based in New York City, a position she has held since 2008. A longtime community leader and advocate for promoting philanthropy in the Asian American community, Kyung brings professional skills honed from her previous experience in the field of journalism. Formerly an award-winning correspondent for WNYW Fox Channel 5 News, Kyung was the first Korean American broadcast reporter in New York. She is a former Vice President of the New York chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association and previously served as the Executive Producer of Television at the World Bank.
Kyung has a BA degree from Wellesley College and a MA in international economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
