Brandon (he/him/his) manages AAPIP’s Regional Chapter Network and Digital Communications. He recently completed his Master’s in Social Work at Columbia University School of Social Work. Prior to Columbia, he founded a grassroots organization in Seattle, WA to rewrite cultural narratives of trauma and pain and transform conversations about mental health and suicide in Asian Pacific Islander communities. He also worked with the University of Washington, Social Justice Fund NW, API Community Leadership Foundation, Forefront: Innovations in Suicide Prevention and was a guest columnist for The International Examiner and Northwest Asian Weekly. His deep interest in maximizing the impact of the social sector brought him to AAPIP, where he hopes to further philanthropy’s efforts to “use money as medicine” to heal and truly transform our society. Brandon is a second-generation Indonesian-Thai American born and raised on the West Coast.
