We are a national, member-supported philanthropic advocacy organization dedicated to advancing philanthropy and Asian American/Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. Our strength lies in our active and growing membership of nearly 500 individuals that include foundations, staff and trustees of grantmaking institutions, and AAPI serving nonprofit organizations.
We are structured into 11 vibrant regional chapters whose work on the ground reflects our commitment to Building Democratic Philanthropy. Each chapter designs and produces unique programs and events that address the critical needs of AAPI’s in their local and regional landscape.
These volunteer-driven efforts span four key areas:
- Listening and responding to local AAPI community issues and highlighting assets
- Leadership, networking and professional development
- Engaging institutional philanthropy
- Building community philanthropy and activating individual donors
