Silicon Valley

In early 2010, we formed an exploratory committee, composed of staff from Silicon Valley based funders, corporations and community based organizations. After a year of planning, outreach and regional programming, we officially launched in 2011, becoming AAPIP’s tenth. We live in one of the most ethnically diverse communities in the nation that draws people from all over the world. Recent census figures show that over a third of the population in Santa Clara County and the heart of Silicon Valley are foreign-born, and Asian Americans make up a third of the total population. We develop critical programs that address the growing diversity of the AAPI community and and leverage the innovative tech and philanthropic culture unique to Silicon Valley.
