Teresa Wang

Director of Communications
Teresa Wang brings over 20 years of strategic communications experience advancing social justice initiatives through narrative change and data-driven campaigns. She began to focus her projects and work on social justice in the wake of Prop 8 in California.
Prior to joining AAPIP, Teresa served as Senior Communications Lead at Social Justice Partners Los Angeles, where she directed communications strategy across digital platforms and spearheaded strategic messaging  initiatives including the Living Wage Report that advanced public discourse on racial and economic justice for LA’s homeless sector workforce. She also led the organization’s rebranding initiative, successfully shifting public perception to align with their systems change and social justice mission.
Teresa’s career spans nonprofit communications, private industry, athletic programs, and social justice advocacy. At Ocean & Mountain, she designed and executed strategic communications plans for nonprofit clients advancing racial and social justice initiatives.
Teresa graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics, University of San Francisco with an M.A. in Sport Management, and Antioch University with an M.A. in Clinical Psychology. She lives in San Gabriel with her two kids. In her free time, she watches all of the television.
