Mission: APIs RISE will enhance Asian Pacific Islander philanthropic giving in the Sacramento Region
Cause Statement: APIs RISE, comprised of API philanthropists and community leaders, is excited to announce its plans to launch its inaugural campaign to build and strengthen the next pipeline of API leadership for the Sacramento Region! Join us and APIs throughout the region as we raise our collective power through philanthropy. APIs RISE will cultivate and secure resources to support API leadership in the Sacramento region, especially mentorship and leadership pipeline programs that support the next generation. By stepping up today and empowering Asian and Pacific Islanders toward sustainable civic leadership, we are laying the foundation for a stronger tomorrow.
The Opportunity: Join us as we build the seed fund to accelerate API philanthropy in Sacramento and create a more truly API way to GIVE BACK to our community. APIs RISE has developed a collective strategy which will support our API community through: FOOD, PHILANTHROPY, and, above all else FUN!
FOOD – a series of community briefings: Lunch and Dinner Get Togethers with Community Leaders about topics that WE care about like Leadership, Mentorship, Education, etc. The Core Team will develop 3-5 project ideas based on ideas that come up through the conversations.
PHILANTHROPY – a more democratic way of distributing community resources: Everyone has a voice! Depending on your giving level, you can make recommendations or VOTE for your favorite project idea. The project(s) with the most votes will be funded.
FUN: Together, as a community, we are giving, receiving, and creating long lasting impact for the API Community in Sacramento!
