Title: Accounts Payable Associate
Department: Finance
Reports To: Sr. Finance Operations Manager
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt FTE: 1
Supervises: None

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Sr. Finance Operations Manager, the Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for processing invoices, creating new vendors in the financial system, routing and tracking approval of invoices, researching and troubleshooting exceptions along with other Accounts Payable functions as assigned.

Essential Functions:

-Process vendor invoices by coding, reviewing and routing invoices for approval;
-Track and manage status of invoice approvals;
-Send, receive and process DocuSign documents for new vendor set-up;
-Enter new vendors in the financial system;
-Assist with annual 1099 process;
-Enter and manage user profiles in employee credit card reimbursement system;
-Process employee credit card reimbursement submissions for payment;
-Respond to communication and inquiries from vendors and internal staff; and
-Manually submit invoices for imaging if needed.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

-Individuals assigned to this position may perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

-Ability to use a computer monitor and keyboard for long periods of time; and
-Ability to work onsite and remotely, as required.

Job Qualifications

Preparation, Knowledge, Previous Experience:

-Associate degree or equivalent work experience; and
-2 years related experience preferred.

Skills, Abilities, Competencies:

-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy;
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially in Excel and Outlook;
-Good communication skills, written and verbal;
-Must be independent, proactive and ability to work under the pressure of deadlines;
-Participatory work style;
-Ability to give and receive feedback in a positive and productive manner;
-Ability to adapt to changing priorities; and
-Ability to maintain confidentiality.
