Asian American Women’s Political Initiative (AAWPI) is the country’s only political leadership program for Asian-American women. AAWPI works to ensure that Asian-American women and the Asian-American community have a voice in their government. Saffron Circle provided AAWPI with a $10,000 grant to support its State House Fellowship program which provides intensive legislative training and mentorship opportunities for college-aged Asian-American women.

Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association (CMMA) was founded in 1984 to improve the quality of life for Cambodian Americans and other minorities and economically disadvantaged persons in Lowell through educational, cultural, economic and social programs. CMMA was awarded a $5,000 grant for its After School Youth Program which provides free after school academic, social, cultural and recreational activities for youth.

Josiah Quincy Orchestra Program (JQOP) provides weekly orchestral instruction to positively impact students, their families, and the community. Saffron Circle awarded JQOP with a $1,000 grant to support its Mandarin translation services for its music education program that serves 160 children at Josiah Quincy Elementary and Upper Schools in Chinatown.
