Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association (CMMA) was founded in 1984 to improve the quality of life for Cambodian Americans and other minorities and economically disadvantaged persons in Lowell through educational, cultural, economic and social programs. CMMA was awarded a $5,000 grant for its After School Youth Program which provides free after school academic, social, cultural and recreational activities for youth.

Josiah Quincy Orchestra Program (JQOP) provides weekly orchestral instruction to positively impact students, their families, and the community. Saffron Circle awarded JQOP with a $1,000 grant to support its Mandarin translation services for its music education program that serves 160 children at Josiah Quincy Elementary and Upper Schools in Chinatown.
