Michele Dilworth

Interim VP of Communications and Partnerships

Michele has 25+ years of experience building teams, and elevating and contributing to the success of both private and social sector organizations. She began her career in tech product development and marketing before she transitioned to the nonprofit sector and led public relations and communications at the Asian Art Museum. She has since held other leadership roles in communications and development in the areas of social services, global affairs, and philanthropy.

Michele most recently served as the senior director of partnerships at Candid and led the team which facilitates mutually beneficial partnerships that support efficiency, equity, and impact for the social sector. Prior to joining Candid she served as vice president of communications and development for World Affairs and Global Philanthropy Forum.

Michele is delighted to contribute to the AAPIP team as interim vice president of communications and partnerships. Of Filipina heritage, Michele strongly resonates with AAPIP’s mission of expanding and mobilizing resources for AANHPI communities to build a more just and equitable society.

Michele holds a B.A. in Rhetoric and Communication Studies from the University of Virginia. Among her many volunteer roles, Michele serves on the board of trustees for Horizons at San Francisco Friends School. Her favorite role is mother to three dynamic and delightful children, and an adorable pup named Mia. Find her on weekends hiking around the Northern California coast and spending quality time with her family and friends.
