Work Environment
AMHC is incorporated in Texas, with an entirely remote team. The Program Coordinator must be based in the US and able to work in either Pacific, Mountain, Central or Eastern Time Zones. The Program Coordinator is expected to travel occasionally to attend meetings and/or conferences (estimated <10%).

What You’ll Do
Program Coordination, Implementation, and Support
Program Implementation
- Provide core support for day-to-day operations for AMHC’s Therapy Funds, Support Groups, Processing Spaces, and Therapist Directory and any subsequent programs launched.
- With support from the Director of Programming, create and track work plans for full-scope program execution, from inception to assessment.
- Support in the implementation of culturally effective programs and services.
- Act as lead point of contact with program participants, external program facilitators, partners, and collaborators, regarding planning, run-of-show, and day-of coordination for programs.
- Ensure timely, quality completion, and production of program and workshop materials and related program delivery needs.
- Manage technical support for virtual and in-person trainers.
Administration
- Provide individualized support and responses to program participants via email, or other channels, as needed.
- Provide administrative support for the therapist license verification process for our Asian Therapist Directory.
- Support standardized processes for delivery of the programs, workshops, and interventions to reduce staffing/resource waste and duplication of effort.
General
- Adhere to existing program budgets and timelines to ensure projections remain on track.
- Collaborate across AMHC teams to ensure program success. *
- Support ongoing organizational record keeping.
- Complete any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Other Requirements
- Must be willing to attend occasional meetings in the evenings, on the weekends or out of town events and conferences.
- Must be willing to travel as needed (estimated 10%).
Compensation
The pay rate is set at $25/hour for 0.80 FTE (32 hours or 4 days per week), with the potential to increase hours at different points in the year. We provide a generous benefits package including prorated medical, dental, vision stipend, a small tech stipend, generous retirement match contribution, and paid holidays/vacation/sick time.
Job Qualifications
Required
- 1+ years of experience:
- implementing work plans to support events or programs in a professional or volunteer capacity
- coordinating in-person and online events or programs in a professional or volunteer capacity
- serving multiple Asian American communities and other diverse communities
- working at a nonprofit, government, or social service organization setting.
- Self-directed; ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Kind and professional communication skills via email, slack, and video calls
- Understanding or willingness to learn about issues related to mental health and strategies employed to address related issues
- Must have authorization to work in the US. AMHC is not able to sponsor work permits.
- Competency with Google Suite, Slack, and Zoom.
Preferred
- Experience identifying process and program improvements
- Initiative-taking, strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Understanding of and experience with the impact of trauma
- Demonstrated passion or interest in furthering mental health care of diverse communities
- Experience with remote workplaces
- Experience facilitating in-person or virtual events
