[Videos] The Impact of a Funder Collaborative

These videos capture the stories of the San Francisco Bay Area philanthropic community’s response to 9/11. The AAPIP Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) was a funder collaborative, working with sixteen AMEMSA (Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim and South Asian) community organizations*. The CEF increased organizational capacities to build collective power within AMEMSA communities, leading to greater potential for long-term community change.

“Post 9/11: The Impact of a Funder Collaborative” was made possible through the generous support of The David & Lucile Packard Foundation, who recognized the power of stories to show impact. The video was developed, filmed, edited and produced by Storytellers for Good and the Lightbox Collaborative.

The CEF story could not be told without offering glimpses into the leadership and work of participating AMEMSA organizations. Please take a moment to learn more about the issues addressed and approaches utilized by three anchor AMEMSA organizations in the Bay Area.
