AAPIP cares about your privacy. This privacy policy is available in the footer of every page on the site, explaining what data is collected and how it is used.

On some pages, you may be asked to provide the following pieces of personal information:

The information you supply is maintained by AAPIP for the purpose of processing your request or inquiry and is maintained solely for that reason. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that transaction. Additionally, we restrict access to nonpublic personal information – only those employees who provide products or services to you are given access to the necessary information. All other employees do not have access.

For mailing list subscriptions, user’s email addresses are used. You may subscribe to AAPIP Connect to receive the latest news on AAPIs in philanthropy. AAPIP members are automatically added to the AAPIP Connect mailing list. These email addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. Users may opt-out from the mailing list at any time by simply following the “unsubscribe” link.

AAPIP does not knowingly solicit data from children, and does not knowingly market to children. AAPIP recognizes that protecting children’s identities and privacy online is important, and that the responsibility to do so rests with both the online industry and with parents.

AAPIP uses cookies to improve your browsing experience on our website, analyze website traffic, and understand where our visitors are coming from. AAPIP does not sell any information provided to us by members and subscribers.

Photo and Video Collection

SMS/Text Messaging

What We Collect: AAPIP may collect phone numbers from staff, members, event participants, and other organizational contacts for SMS/text messaging purposes.

How We Use SMS: We use text messaging strictly for internal organizational communications and operational purposes, including:

  • Event coordination and updates
  • Appointment scheduling and reminders
  • Time-sensitive organizational notifications
  • Administrative communications related to membership or participation

How We Collect Consent: We collect phone numbers and consent to send SMS messages through:

  • Verbal consent during intake or registration processes

Message Frequency & Rates: Messaging frequency varies based on organizational needs. Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.

Third-Party Service Providers: We use Zoom and Neon CRM as our SMS service providers to deliver text messages. Your phone number and message content may be shared with Zoom, Neon CRM and its underlying carriers solely for the purpose of delivering SMS messages to you.

No Data Selling or Marketing Sharing: AAPIP will never sell, rent, or share your phone number, SMS opt-in consent, or other personal information with any third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent data and phone numbers will not be shared with third parties or affiliates under any circumstances, except with our SMS service provider (Zoom) for the sole purpose of message delivery.

  • Request deletion: Contact us at aapip@aapip.org to request removal of your phone number from our records

Data Security: We implement physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect your phone number and message data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
